Ben Johnson is a highly skilled and experienced Detective Senior Constable with the Queensland Police Service, specializing in cybercrime and complex investigations. With over two decades of law enforcement experience, he brings a unique blend of investigative acumen and technical expertise to any role. Ben served within the Cybercrime, Financial and Cybercrime Group, Ben lead intricate investigations into online fraud, digital identity theft, and advanced cybercrime, demonstrating a future-oriented approach by pioneering innovative investigative methodologies in digital environments.
His expertise extends beyond investigations, as he provides statewide specialist support and training to law enforcement personnel on cybercrime and fraud. Ben excels in analysing crime trends, and providing advice and guidance to the general public on staying safe online.
WORK EXPERIENCE
He has worked with numerous agencies such as Victoria Police, the Australian Federal Police, and the United States Department of Homeland Security, as well as government departments like the Department of Health during the Covid-19 pandemic.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ben holds an Advanced Diploma in Police Investigations and is currently pursuing a Certificate IV in Government (Investigation). His educational background also includes a Bachelor of Business Communication (Marketing and Information Systems) and specialized certifications in cryptocurrency investigation, ethical hacking, and network defence.
