2024 Safer Internet Day – 6 February

We use the internet for many different tasks every day. Communicating at work, with our kids, with their schools, banking, organising, grocery shopping, social media, and to perform our jobs. More concerning is our children will use it more and more for generations to come. For this reason, we are joining the eSafety Commissioner to support Safer Internet Day. It’s an important initiative and we encourage you to get involved at work or in your home. On Tuesday, February 6th, we join the eSafety Commissioner in supporting Safer Internet Day – a global initiative aimed at raising awareness of online safety issues. We urge everyone to get involved and take three simple actions to promote online safety: Connect, Reflect and Protect.

To further support this cause, free tools and resources for industry are available from the eSafety website. You can sign up as a supporter and learn more.

These tools can help us understand our obligations towards internet safety and how we can all embed internet safety principles into our school, work, and home environment.

By sharing the Connect. Reflect. Protect. message, we can work together towards making every day a Safer Internet Day.
